The company Principal, Ronald Simmons, has worked in the Recovery field since 1996. He began his career as a FEMA Inspector documenting claims for applicants that were victims of a flood in New York State. In 1999 Simmons began working for New York State as their PAL Program Supervisor, actively managing the field operations of many disasters, including the World Trade Center Disaster of September 11, 2001.
In 2003 he began working for a disaster consulting firm where he developed and managed a new line of business to allow states to outsource their staffing needs when working with FEMA. As the Director of the division he personally trained and managed over 175 consultants serving clients as diverse as the State of New York, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and many counties, port authorities, hospitals, universities and municipalities impacted by Hurricane’s Katrina, Rita, Gustav and Ike.
As the Principal of Simmons Recovery Consulting, Simmons takes his experience and knowledge of the FEMA Public Assistance Program and combines it with his understanding of the needs of the three partners in the Disaster Recovery process, 1) FEMA, 2) the State or grantee, and the 3) applicant or sub grantee (our clients). Having this unique perspective, of understanding the group needs, benefits SRC clients.
Successful negotiations and creative solutions and strategies can be devised that meet everyone’s needs, while achieving our client’s goal of obtaining the maximum amount of financial recovery possible. SRC puts client’s problems into a solution that will fit into the proverbial box so it can be funded.
